CHED Scholarship Online Application Guide

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is a government agency attached to the Office of the President mandated by law to provide financial assistance through scholarships to qualified and deserving students, preferably the Underprivileged and Homeless Citizens under RA No. 7279, Persons with Disability (PWDs) under RA No. 7277 as amended, Solo Parents and/or their Dependents under RA 8972, Senior Citizens under RA 9994, and Indigenous Peoples under RA 8371. They help to ensure that education shall be accessible to all especially to underprivileged and deserving students and help them to finish their college education.

Who May Apply

The CHED Scholarship Programs (CSPs) is open to all Filipino citizens who are graduating high school students or high school graduates whose General Weighted Average (GWA) is 93% above. Their families must have a combined annual gross income of not more than Php 400,000.00. If the student applicant is accepted as a CHED scholar, he or she must enroll in any of the priority courses identified by CHED.

How to Apply Online

Student applicants can now apply online and there is no need to go to the CHED Regional Offices anymore. To apply online, an applicant must determine first what region his/her school belongs to. Click on the link of the corresponding CHED Regional Office (CHEDRO) then follow the regional instructions. The filing of the application runs from July 11, 2021 to August 15, 2021 only.

Benefits of a Scholar

The financial assistance to CHED Scholars shall cover tuition and other school fees (TOSF) plus stipend which shall be released directly to the scholars or through HEIs per semester of a given academic year until the completion of the degree program. The breakdown of the financial assistance, depending on the type of scholarships awarded, are as follows:
